TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The Sierra Vista Police Department is looking for a person of interest following a shooting that happened Sunday night, May 24.

The SVPD says officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 2300 block of Cherry Hills Drive.
A 911 caller reported someone had shot his residence.
While responding to that location, another 911 caller reported being shot at that location and left the area to the Circle K in the 2200 block of Buffalo Soldier Trail.
Investigators learned that two men had met near Country Club Park for a gun sale.
The seller had entered the victim’s vehicle to complete the transaction, and at some point, he exited the vehicle and opened fire on the victim’s car and hitting the victim twice.
Police say the victim fired back while leaving the area to the Circle K.
Police say the suspect remains unaccounted for.
The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

An 18-year-old man, identified as Angel Valenzuela, is wanted for questioning in connection to the incident.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Valenzuela or the incident is asked to contact Detective Mike Goodman at (520) 803-3555.
