TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – On Sept. 1, an Arizona Department of Public Safety Canine District trooper discovered over 30 pounds of fentanyl while making a traffic stop on Interstate 10 in Eloy.

The trooper pulled over a Nissan Rogue for a civil traffic violation and “observed indicators of criminal activity.”
DPS said the trooper searched the vehicle and found approximately 36.5 pounds of fentanyl powder under the floor of the SUV.
The driver was arrested and faces a possession and transportation of a narcotic drug for sale charge.
