The first death was an attendee in his mid-50s who died after experiencing a medical emergency at Black Rock City, according to the Burning Man Project’s website. The man has not been publicly identified.
A second attendee was found dead in his camp by campmates on Saturday, shortly after 3 p.m. The attendee was identified as Craig Mann, 60.

No details about the cause of death have been released in either case.
“Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the participant’s family, friends, campmates, and all those affected by this loss,” the project staff said. “The safety and well-being of our community and staff remain our highest priority.”
