SURPRISE, AZ (AZFamily) — A joyride on Loop 303 turned into an arrest for one motorcyclist Monday night, after a state trooper clocked them at a blistering 152 mph in the West Valley.

Just before 10 p.m., the trooper spotted the motorcyclist near Bell Road in Surprise traveling well above the posted 65-mph speed limit, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
As the trooper closed in, the rider appeared to realize the situation and began pulling over — before the trooper even activated lights or sirens, according to DPS.
The motorcyclist was arrested on suspicion of criminal speed and reckless driving. They have not been publicly identified.

The motorcycle was also impounded for 20 days.
