(CNN) – A writer is suing “Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan, accusing him of stealing key elements of the hit series.

According to Variety, writer Lauren J. Salkin says she submitted her Western drama “Sovereign Nation” to Sheridan’s management company in 2016.
In a new lawsuit, she says “Yellowstone” was greenlit at Paramount within months of her pitch being rejected.

Salkin claims the shows share specific ideas involving tribal political power, casino development and reservation lands.
Sheridan, Paramount and the other defendants have not yet responded to the allegations.
