The Tucson Parks & Recreation Department said Udall Pool, located at 7200 East Tanque Verde Road, was closed and won’t reopen until Friday, May 22, at the earliest.

The TPRD said the pool had to be drained and cleaned thoroughly.

The TPRD said glass is not allowed at or around city pools, which is why it is believed to be a case of vandalism. The city said this not the first time it has had to deal with an incident like this.

The city of Tucson has several other public pools. You can see a list and map of them HERE.
