The Reno Police Department says that around 5:00 a.m. Monday, officers responded to a call of a shooting at the El Cortez Apartments on West Second Street.

Police say the suspect, John Collins, went after the victim with a pellet gun, shooting him in the face with it.

RPD says the unidentified victim then stabbed Collins multiple times.
Collins was then taken to the hospital, and will be charged once he recovers.
The victim has non-life threatening injuries.
