Yelp Elite Squad reviewers named the Valley’s Little Miss BBQ as the best barbecue in the United States.
With two Phoenix-area locations — Sunnyslope and University — the spot slow-cooks tender meats over smoky Arizona firewood for Central Texas-style barbecue. The laid-back setting allows customers to watch pitmasters work meat magic on the smoker.
That’s not the only Arizona barbecue destination to make Yelp’s top 10. Caldwell County BBQ also made the top-10 at No. 8. The Gilbert spot combines Texas-style slow-cooked barbecue with Arizona flair and green chile heat for a unique flavor.

Arizona has four more barbecue spots that round out the top-100 in the country:

- #62: Smoking Tiger Korean BBQ – Mesa, AZ

- #89: Bobby Q – Biltmore – Phoenix, AZ
Yelp’s list of the top 100 barbecue joints in the country used volume and ratings of reviews for each business that were given by Yelp Elite Squad members.
