GLENDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — A Glendale woman got drunk and fell asleep while her home filled with smoke and her toddler was found barely conscious Saturday, according to court paperwork obtained Monday.

The ex of Kallien Heathman, 25, arrived at the home on Sierra Street near 65th Avenue, south of Cactus Road, around 11 p.m. to find Heathman unconscious on the floor near a couch, with the 2-year-old in a car seat and the house filling with smoke. He called police.
Officers arrived and entered the house, with the living room filled with smoke. They said the child was barely conscious but not moving, so they got the child out of the house first.
As officers tried to get Heathman out of the house, she woke up but started to resist their help, court documents said.
Officers later learned the smoke came from burned pizza in the microwave.
A 7-year-old child was also at the home at the time but was not hurt.
Heathman and the toddler were taken to the hospital to be evaluated. Investigators said her blood alcohol content was 0.379.

Heathman was booked into jail on one count of child abuse. A judge set her bond at $10,000 cash only.
