Northern Arizona town employee investigated over election activity

PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ (AZFamily) — A government employee is the subject of an investigation connected to election activities in a northern Arizona town.

The town of Prescott Valley said on Thursday that officials received a report about an employee using town resources in connection with election-related activities.

In a statement, town officials said the local government is “committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and impartiality in all election-related matters and takes any allegation involving the use of public resources seriously.”

Officials said the case has been sent to the Arizona Attorney General’s Office for an independent review. An office spokesperson said it was unable to comment.
