PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A boy died Wednesday after his parent found him inside a vehicle, Phoenix police said.

First responders and Phoenix police officers were called to a home near Baseline Road and 24th Street in south Phoenix at 6:32 p.m. for reports of an injured person.
Officers located a boy, whose age is unknown, in critical condition, after he was found inside a vehicle. Paramedics rushed the boy to the hospital, where he died, police said.
No other information was released, including how long the boy had been in the vehicle.

The medical examiner’s office will determine the cause of death, officials said.
Detectives responded to the scene to take over the investigation.
