Arizona election officials recommend mailing your ballot no later than Tuesday, July 14, to help ensure it meets the 7 p.m. deadline on Election Day.

Before mailing your ballot, remember to sign and date the return envelope. Election officials also advise including a phone number in case they need to follow up with you about your ballot.

But if you’re unable to mail your ballots by Tuesday, you still have options.

You can hand-deliver your ballot to a drop box location, some of which are open 24/7, or an early voting center in your county. Check your county’s election website for voting center and ballot drop box locations and hours.

Another option is to bring your ballot to your county recorder or elections office.

If you miss voting early, you can still return your ballot on Election Day.

Ballots must be received no later than 7 p.m. on July 21.

Also starting this election cycle, voters will have a quicker way to get their mail-in ballot processed and counted in what is being called an “ID Verified Drop Off.”

You can bring your signed and sealed early ballot to a voting center and show your ID to an election worker, thus proving your identity and skipping the signature verification process. That ballot is stamped as “ID-verified” and placed in an ID-verified early ballot box.
