Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 9pm for Pima, Pinal, and Santa Cruz Counties

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Another active weather day for Southern Arizona. A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is valid for Pima County, Pinal County, and Santa Cruz County until 9PM. Strong to severe storms with damaging winds up to 70 mph, lightning, hail, and blowing dust concerns. Don’t forget that Blowing Dust Advisory is still valid into this evening for areas of Pima, Pinal, and Santa Cruz. Flood concerns remain prevalent today.

Monday’s storm chances have been decreasing, but we will still see rain and storm activity, just less severe. That’s the case throughout all of the 7-day where most days Tucson sits around 40%. The best chance of storms after today is for Friday where a 70-80% chance of rain is present. Outside of rain and storms, temperatures are expected to plummet. The 7-day is now full of highs in the 90s with low 90s possible next weekend.
