FLAGSTAFF, AZ (AZFamily) — Police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead in Flagstaff Wednesday morning.

A homicide investigation is underway in the area of Marketplace Drive and Mall Way, north of Route 66.
Flagstaff PD Sgt. Jerry Rintala says the shooting stemmed from a fight between two men in the parking lot of an apartment complex around 9:30 a.m. Officers arrived to find one of the men dead and the other seriously injured. He’s currently hospitalized.
Police say there is no ongoing threat and that no other suspects were involved. Residents are asked to avoid the area during the investigation.
