PHOENIX (AZFamily) — An officer and a man were taken to the hospital after a violent arrest in east Phoenix Thursday morning.

Around 11:30 a.m., officers responded to a reported physical fight near 30th Street and McDowell Road, Phoenix police said.
Phoenix police said the victim gave a description of the man and told officers the man had left. A police helicopter found the man and directed officers to him.
When officers found the man, he allegedly resisted arrest and fought with an officer. He was ultimately arrested.
The officer and the man were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Once released, the man will be booked on multiple charges, Phoenix police said. He has not been identified.
