Man kills wife, then self in tragic murder-suicide near Casa Grande

CASA GRANDE, AZ (AZFamily) — A man killed his wife and then himself due to struggles with his wife’s advanced ALS diagnosis, according to Casa Grande Police.

A 75-year-old man called police June 29 and said his wife, 69, was struggling with ALS, and the two decided to end their lives.

Officers responded to a desert area, and they found the two dead with gunshot wounds, police said. A gun and a note were found in the vehicle, officials said. Two more notes were found at their senior living community.

Next of kin was notified, and detectives confirmed the wife’s diagnosis.
