PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A north Phoenix couple was found dead Tuesday after police say a man killed his estranged wife and then himself.

Around 3:30 p.m., Phoenix police received reports about a disturbance at an apartment complex near North Valley Parkway and Sonoran Desert Drive, east of Interstate 17. Officers arrived and found Alyssa Ann Sydow-Hoffert, 42, and Henry Arthur Sydow-Hoffert, 59, dead inside the home.
Detectives said Henry shot Alyssa multiple times before turning the gun on himself.
It’s unclear how long the couple was separated.
A large crime scene was seen at the complex into the evening hours on Tuesday, with a Phoenix police command van and other patrol vehicles around the home.
