TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – A man has been sentenced for his role in a drug conspiracy on June 25.

63-year-old Mark Craythorn Thompson pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and was sentenced to 60 months in prison, followed by four years of supervised release.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office said Thompson picked up a package in Detroit, Michigan that contained 997.3 grams of fentanyl on September 28, 2023.

The package had been shipped from Arizona by U.S. mail.
Thompson intended to distribute the fentanyl around Detroit.
