Remains found near Picture Rocks

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Remains have been found near Picture Rocks on June 28.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said that the remains were found at an archaeological site and that PCSD is not involved in the investigation.

The Arizona State Museum at the University of Arizona is handling the investigation and confirmed that the remains are archaeological.

The U of A has asked the public to be mindful of the cultural sensitivities surrounding the discovery of human remains.
