In attendance were council candidates Jackie McGuire, Sue Ritz, and Julie Prince, along with Mayoral candidate Greg Johnson.

The town hall is in response to the current town council’s vote to rezone over 600 acres of farmland to be set aside for a data center.

Residents came out to voice their concerns.

Given the public interest, McGuire said they wanted to create an environment to do that.

“I think the amount of people that we had here is kind of indicative of how important this issue is to the residents in Marana,” Jackie McGuire said.
