Three-vehicle crash in Pima County turns fatal

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The Pima County Sheriff’s Department responded to a three-vehicle crash near North Shadow Bluff Drive and East Orange Grove Road on June 17.

The PCSD said an SUV traveling in stop-and-go traffic failed to slow down and rear-ended a sedan. The impact from the crash pushed the sedan into a second SUV.

The driver of the first SUV, 56-year-old Tina Brenner-Kupris, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and was later discharged.

The PCSD said Brenner-Kupris was taken to the hospital on June 18 and died as a result of her injuries from the crash.

Deputies said Brenner-Kupris had been cited after the crash for failure to control speed and avoid a collision.
