PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A new, affordable option is making it easier for travelers to head up to the Grand Canyon for a summer road trip.

FlixBus is launching a new seasonal service connecting Phoenix to the Grand Canyon, giving residents a brand-new transportation option for visiting the national park.
The new route runs Thursday through Monday, with one daily trip in each direction. Travelers can catch the bus in Phoenix, Glendale and Flagstaff, and head directly to Tusayan, the gateway community to the Grand Canyon. Once in Tusayan, travelers can take a four-minute shuttle ride into the park.
Stops include:
- Phoenix Sky Harbor – 44th St PHX Sky Train Station
- Glendale – 59th Avenue and Hayward Avenue
- Flagstaff Train Station – 1 E Rte 66
- Grand Canyon (Tusayan) – 577 AZ-64, Grand Canyon Village
Officials say visitors will need a valid Grand Canyon National Park entrance pass or America the Beautiful pass to board the shuttle. Both are available online or at several locations in Tusayan.
“The Grand Canyon is one of America’s most remarkable natural landmarks, and as we mark the country’s 250th anniversary this summer, we want more people to be able to experience it,” said Karina Frayter, head of communications for Flix North America.

“This route is about making access simpler and more affordable, without the need for a car. Whether you’re flying into Phoenix or traveling from Glendale, FlixBus now connects you directly to the Grand Canyon,” she added.
The service will be available through the summer travel season. Tickets can be purchased at flixbus.com or on the FlixBus mobile app.
