PHOENIX (AZFamily) — One person is fighting for their life, and two others are seriously injured after a rollover crash in west Phoenix early Thursday morning.

Around 5 a.m., first responders were called to reports of a two-car crash near 47th Avenue and Buckeye Road that left one car flipped on its side.
When firefighters arrived, they pulled the driver of the flipped vehicle from the wreckage, according to the Phoenix Police Department. That person was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police say the driver and passenger of the second vehicle were also taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Their current conditions have not been released.

Buckeye Road is closed in both directions in the area while investigators work to determine what led to the crash. Drivers are urged to avoid the area, and it’s unclear when the road will reopen.
