LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Week two of witness testimony is underway in the Tupac murder trial.

Last week, jurors heard from 18 witness, including former law enforcement officials, former gang members, and the former head of security for Death Row Records.

Michael Dorsay returned to the stand following Friday’s testimony while audio recordings he took in 2017 were also presented to the jury.

9:40 a.m.
Court resumes with defense attorney Michael Sanft speaking regarding Friday’s recording. The defense is trying to argue that Friday’s recording has information regarding other crimes that the jury shouldn’t have heard.
The recording is from 2017 during the production of Death Row Chronicles.
Michael Dorsay, who is expected to continue his testimony, returns to the stand before the jury. The judge clarifies the conditions of the recording while Dorsay is on the stand.
10:08 a.m.
Jury returns to the courtroom and reads the limiting instructions to the jurors before continuing with Dorsay’s testimony.

11:25 a.m.
Recording ends and a 15 minute recess is taken.
11:44 a.m.
Jury returns and the state continues questioning Dorsay. Another recording begins to play.
In the recording, when asked how he felt about Tupac, Davis said, “To me he was a ignorant kid in the prime of his life.. doing stupid s*** out here.”
12:28 p.m.
Lunch break is taken and expected to be back at 1:30 p.m.
1:35 p.m.
Jury returns and the remaining 40 minutes of the recording is played.
During the recording, Davis is asked if he thinks about Tupac’s family.
Diaz: “Do you think about his family?”
Davis: “Yes”
Diaz: “What do you think about?”
Davis: “I hate that it had to go down that way.”
Davis is then asked if he is concerned revealing everything. He answers that the lord got him. “He helped me through cancer,” Davis says.
Diaz again brings up Tupac’s family.
Diaz: “Do you want to apologize to his family?”
Davis: “No. No I didn’t do nothing. I didn’t do nothing to his family.”
2:27 p.m.
The recording ends and the state continues their questioning of Dorsay.
2:50 p.m.
Cross examination begins.
3:14 p.m.
Court takes a recess and is slated to return at 3:30 p.m.
During the break and out of the presence of the jury, the judge addressed a prior objection involving Detective Greg Kading.
3:38 p.m.
Jury and witness return to the stand.
Some tense moments in court with Dorsey and defense attorney.
Dorsey: “A lot of the questions you’re asking me right now, I know, are based off conspiracy theories out there, about alternate theories of this. And I just would wonder if you have any evidence of that, that you would base your question on”
Judge: “Mr. Dorsey you can’t ask him questions. He asks you questions.”
4:22 p.m.
Court is in recess for the evening and is slated to return at 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
It is also stated that Dorsay may be recalled to the stand at any point during the trial.
