GLENDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — Glendale police released video of officers rescuing a child from a smoke-filled home while the child’s mother was allegedly passed out drunk Saturday.

The ex of Kallien Heathman, 25, arrived at the home on Sierra Street near 65th Avenue, south of Cactus Road, around 11 p.m. to find Heathman unconscious on the floor near a couch, with the 2-year-old in a car seat and the house filling with smoke. He called police.
The body camera video released Tuesday shows two officers entering the home and finding Heathman unconscious and the toddler barely conscious.
“Let’s get the kid out,” said one officer. “Let’s search the rooms.”
One officer immediately grabbed the 2-year-old, who was strapped in a car seat, and took the child outside.
The two officers then tried to get Heathman out of the house. As they tried to lift her, she started yelling.
“Glendale police ma’am, wake up,” one officer said.
Heathman started yelling even more.
“Can you walk?” one officer asked.
The video showed officers dragging her out of the house by her arms. The officers searched the rest of the house and did not find anyone.

Officers later learned the smoke came from burned pizza in the microwave.
A 7-year-old child was also at the home at the time but was not hurt.
Heathman and the toddler were taken to the hospital for evaluation. Investigators said her blood alcohol content was 0.379.
Heathman was booked into jail on one count of child abuse. A judge set her bond at $10,000, cash only.
