TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The Tucson Fire Department released video showing emergency crews rescuing people from fast moving floodwaters Monday afternoon, September 14.

The TFD says these rescues happened within a half hour, showing just how fast conditions can become dangerous during a storm.
The first happened at Calle Betelgeux and South Avenida Sirio for an occupied vehicle in moving water. Crews found the driver sitting on top of the vehicle and used the aerial ladder to safely rescue the driver.
A few minutes later, crews responded to North Alamo Avenue and East Rosewood Street for a report of a submerged vehicle being swept toward Speedway Boulevard with someone still inside.
The driver was swept down the Alamo Wash, but the first two crew members on scene pulled the driver from the water with help from a neighbor.

The driver was transported to a local hospital.
The third rescue happened in an area behind TMC near Grant Road and Wyatt Drive after a report of a person being actively swept away.
The person climbed out of the water with help from security guards and transported to a local hospital.
