TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Lots of weather headlines tonight:
- Extreme Heat Warning until 8pm tonight
- Flash Flood Warning began at 11am and will continue through tomorrow
- Blowing Dust Advisory from 4pm to 8pm tonight
While heat is still around, the focus tonight and this weekend will be storms. Storms tonight will have gusty outflow winds that will be capable of kicking up dust. The winds will be strong to severe, so 50-60+ mph. There is high moisture content in the atmosphere meaning storms are capable of heavy downpours and flash flood concerns. Similar storm potential tomorrow and even into Monday. Remember, storm activity is very dependent on what happened the day before and how the atmosphere recovers from it. If tonight gets crazy, tomorrow could be tamer…same with Monday.

After Monday, storm chances drop significantly with a downturn in monsoon activity. Temperatures will finally drop into the 90s for the next few days before lingering around the triple-digit mark starting on Thursday and into the weekend.
