TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Extreme heat continues to impact our region today and through the start of the weekend. An Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect until 8 p.m. Saturday for most of Pima County, while Cochise and Santa Cruz counties will continue to see temperatures well above the seasonal average.

As drier air moves in, the chance of evening storms remains relatively low throughout our 7-day forecast. However, isolated shower and thunderstorm chances persist to the south and over higher terrain. The main concerns with any developing storms will be gusty outflow winds, lightning, and heavy rain.
While temperatures will dip a degree or two Sunday and Monday, they remain dangerously hot before warming back up mid-week with highs reaching 108 to 109 degrees.
