TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The Willcox Police Department has arrested a Rex Allen Inc. board member for their suspected role in an embezzlement investigation.

The WPD said the suspect is accused of embezzling approximately $48,000.
The discovery comes following an internal financial audit the board conducted, where board members found several discrepancies.
Officers said that through a search warrant, detectives found evidence connecting the suspect to the embezzlement and suggesting additional victims.
The WPD said the investigation is still in the early stages.
“Our department remains committed to supporting Rex Allen Days Inc. and their long-standing mission of providing a safe and enjoyable event for all residents each year,” Willcox Police Chief Hadfield said. “We take allegations of financial wrongdoing very seriously, especially when they affect community organizations that play such an important role in Willcox.”
