PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A suspect is on the run after investigators said a teenage boy was shot Wednesday morning at an apartment complex in the west Phoenix neighborhood of Maryvale.

It happened at the Ventana Palms on McDowell Road, near 71st Avenue, around 11 a.m.
Police said the boy was shot in the leg and taken to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Officers have not released a suspect description.
