TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – A Pima County man admitted to downloading child porn, but claimed he did it so he could turn it over to law enforcement.

Mark Allen Jackson, 54, was arrested on 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor on Wednesday, July 29. As of Thursday, he was still being held on a $75,000 bond.
According to the court documents, the Arizona DPS investigation began in April when a tip was sent to the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children.
Investigators said Jackson was uploading child sexual abuse material to his Verizon cloud account.
Jackson admitted to paying for the child porn and knowing the victims were preteen and toddler age.
He claimed he searched for the CSAM so he could turn it over to law enforcement.
Investigators said Jackson went on Telegram to find the porn, and that they found at least 10 CSAM images on his phone.

More electronic devices were seized when a search warrant was served at Jackson’s home, and he could face additional charges depending on what is found.
According to the interim complaint, there are three young children living on the same property as Jackson and that he worked at a local convenience store.
Jackson is a convicted felon out of Colorado and is on probation. During his initial court appearance late Wednesday night, the judge said his prior convictions appear to be related to current charges.
His preliminary hearing was set for 1:30 p.m. Aug. 10.
