Pima County church employee accused of embezzling money

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The Pima County Sheriff’s Department Fraud Unit announced the arrest of woman accused of embezzling money from a local church where she worked.

61-year-old Tracey Lynn Jorgensen is facing charges that include fraudulent schemes and felonious theft for her suspected involvement in a fraud investigation.

The investigation started in April of 2025 when a report was made to the PCSD by board members of GracePointe Church that accused Jorgensen of misappropriating funds from the church in which she was employed in a finance management capacity.

PCSD Fraud Unit detectives obtained evidence to include subpoenaed bank records which revealed that between 2020 and 2025, Jorgensen embezzled church funds in the amount of approximately $335,000.
