TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Mmmmm…off to a almost ‘chilly start,’ with temps in the 60’s around dawn ! Nice little break from Summer, but it won’t last. Mostly sunny today with highs near average in the mid 90’s. This is to kick off a nice weekend ! Scattered clouds return by Sunday, but it’s not until late on Monday, do things get interesting.

Still looking at the working parts here, upstream for early next week. At this point, a few isolated thundershowers Monday, but heavy rain possible on Tuesday. Tropical moisture from Mr. Polo takes a tour across the Sonoran Desert in norther Mexico. A trough in the northwest, will help pull moisture into southern Arizona coupled with a fast moving system. Rainfall amounts have dropped, but the main story remains largely the same. Best coverage and amount of rain on Tuesday. Details when we get closer, but even at these reduced numbers we have a shot to clean out our rainfall debt in the Monsoon swan song.
