TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The Grant Road improvement project is nearly at the home stretch, with Phases three and four to begin next week.

Final paving work will start Monday, Aug. 31, and is expected to last through Friday, Sept. 11.
The work will most likely cause lane restrictions, traffic shifts and limits to driveway access.
Phase four will close Grant Road at Alvernon Way from Sept. 11 to Sept. 12.
The improvement project first began back in March of 2011 with Phase one, and will add several new features to the road such as widening the roadway to six lanes, adding protected bike and pedestrian crossings, landscape medians and more.
