1 dead, 3 critically hurt in fiery north Phoenix crash

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A person is dead and three others are critically injured after a crash in Phoenix Tuesday evening.

First responders were called to the crash, which involved two vehicles, near 35th Avenue and Bell Road at 8 p.m., officials with the Phoenix Fire Department said. One car was on fire when crews arrived and the flames were quickly put out, officials said.

One person was pulled from the car, firefighters said.

One victim died at the scene.

Two women and one man were taken to nearby hospitals in critical condition, fire officials said.

It’s unclear what led up to the crash.

The Phoenix Police Department is investigating.
