The streaming service introduced the program called Reserved in a press release Thursday. Through the program, Spotify is setting aside tickets for those who are determined to be the biggest fans of artists.
The company said it will use streams and shares to pick the people considered the artist’s “superfans.” Spotify will then hold two tickets for those eligible for the offer.
“You show up for the artist, Spotify shows up for you,” the company said.
This program, which starts this summer, is the result of a multiyear partnership between Spotify and Live Nation.
Spotify officials said this offer is to help music fans who are frustrated with the overall ticket-buying process.

“You show up at the right time, refresh endlessly, and still miss out. Too often, the experience is stressful, unpredictable, and disconnected from what should matter most: whether real fans actually get tickets,” the company said.
According to the press release, fans will receive an email and an in‑app notification if they have received Reserved tickets. They will then have a set amount of time, typically a day, to buy the tickets if they choose to do so.
Only Spotify Premium members will be eligible for the offer. Spotify said that the offer will be based on a tour’s locations, so if a tour is not coming to your town, you may not be eligible.
There is no word yet on which artists will be involved with this feature. Spotify said that it will be offered for newly released tours for a select number of artists.
