(CNN) – President Donald Trump might not be at his eldest son’s upcoming wedding.
Trump posted on Truth Social saying his love for the United States is preventing him from attending his son’s wedding.
“While I very much wanted to be with my son, Don Jr., and the newest member of the Trump Family, his soon to be wife, Bettina, circumstances pertaining to the Goverment, and my love for the United States of America, do not allow me to do so,” Trump said.
Donald Trump Jr.’s nuptials to socialite Bettina Anderson will take place this weekend in the Bahamas, according to two people familiar with the situation.
Those sources say the guest list for the ceremony is purposely small, with less than 50 people expected.

On Thursday, the president said he will try to be there. However, his public schedule does not indicate he plans to show up.
“He’d like me to go, but it’s going to be just a small little private affair, and I’m going to try and make it,” Trump said. “I’m in the midst. I said, you know, this is not good timing for me. I have a thing called Iran and other things.”
Trump said he cannot win either way.
“If I do attend, I get killed. If I don’t attend, I get killed by the fake news, of course I’m talking about,” he said.
