The adorable pups were adopted from Tempe-based Lost Our Home Pet Rescue and have completed their initial service-dog training.

Now, they’re set to learn more advanced therapy skills so they can help troopers and other DPS who may have experienced trauma during their line of work.

Sami and Concho are being trained by a veteran-owned nonprofit in Chandler called Pups and Warriors Side By Side. They’ll work out of an AZDPS Highway Patrol facility.
