Police say the crash happened just before midnight at the intersection of Rural Road and Southern Avenue, where an officer who was stopped at a red light while preparing to turn was hit by another car.
Video from a security camera pointed at the intersection shows a car hitting an SUV, which then hits the patrol car.
Thankfully, no one was hurt.
The driver, whose name has not been released, was arrested on DUI charges before being released pending further investigation.
