LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The death of an inmate at High Desert State Prison has been ruled a homicide, the Clark County coroner said.

The coroner’s office said 38-year-old Jonathan Latorre died of multiple stab wounds. The Nevada Department of Corrections said Latorre was pronounced dead on May 8.

Corrections officials said Latorre was serving a four- to 10-year sentence for possessing a stolen credit card and attempted lewdness with a child.
Details about the stabbing and whether any suspects have been identified were not immediately released.
