TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – A man was arrested following a series of brush fires near Ruthrauff Road and Interstate 10 in Tucson late Tuesday, May 19.

The Tucson Police Department said 59-year-old Thomas Gary Warren was on seven misdemeanor counts of reckless burning.
The Tucson Fire Department said crews responded to a call about several brush fires in the 3200 block of West Camino del Cerro around 10:30 p.m.
The TFD said crews from the Northwest Fire District and Golder Ranch Fire District helped to put out the fires.

According to the citation report, Warren admitted to starting the fires and said he did it because of all the trash left by the homeless in the area.
Warren also allegedly admitted to starting a fire in the same area on May 13.
There were no injuries were reported in either incident.
