TUCSON, AZ (AZFamily) — A Texas man changed his plea Wednesday after prosecutors said he traveled to Arizona and persuaded a child to have sexual activity with him.

Juan Jose Castillo, 28, pleaded guilty to one count of coercion and enticement.
He admitted to talking to the underage victim between February and October 2024 and persuading the child to engage in sexual activity with him. Castillo traveled to Arizona between Oct. 18 and 21, 2024, and during that trip, engaged in sexual activity with the victim.
A conviction for coercion and enticement carries a maximum penalty of life in prison, but since it is a plea deal, the prison time will likely be far less.

He is scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 6.
