PHOENIX (AZFamily) — November’s midterm election could be critical to determining Arizona’s and the nation’s future.

Could this be the year Democrats get a majority in either chamber of the state Legislature? Do Arizona Republicans hang on and pick up statewide executive offices? Who will control Congress?
It will all depend on the election held on Nov. 3.
To make sure voters participate, here are important dates to keep track of:
- Sept. 19: Military and overseas ballots mailed
- Oct. 5: Final day to register to vote
- Oct. 7: Ballots mailed and early voting begins
- Oct. 23: Last day to request a replacement ballot by mail
- Oct. 27: Last day to mail back your ballot
- Oct. 30: Last day to vote early in-person
- Nov. 3: Election Day
In Maricopa County, election officials will use a phased approach to eventually open hundreds of vote centers by Election Day. Ballot drop box sites will also be available.
The Maricopa County website will have a list of locations and hours of operation, which are subject to change.
