CHANDLER, AZ (AZFamily) — A man wanted for failing to register as a sex offender was recently arrested in Mexico and brought back to Arizona by United States Marshals.

An investigation into Christopher Pinkham’s whereabouts began in July when U.S. Marshals started Operation Adam’s Watch, which targeted fugitives for failing to register as sex offenders, sexual assault and other sexual offenses.
Pinkham had been wanted since 2023 after being convicted of sexual assault of a minor in Chandler.
Investigators with the U.S. Marshals Service learned he had been living in Mexico under a different name.
U.S. Marshals coordinated with Mexican authorities, who arrested Pinkham on Aug. 13, officials said.

“Fugitives cannot escape justice simply by crossing an international border,” said United States Marshal Van Bayless. “We are grateful to our law enforcement partners in Mexico for their assistance in safely returning Pinkham to Arizona.”
Pinkham was booked into the Maricopa County jail on the outstanding warrant. Additional charges may be considered, authorities said.
