PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ (AZFamily) — Two people are dead after a head-on crash in Prescott Valley Thursday afternoon.

Around 4 p.m., first responders were called to the crash at the intersection of State Route 69 and Enterprise Parkway.
Witnesses say a truck crossed the median barrier and slammed head-on into another vehicle, according to the Prescott Valley Police Department.
The truck driver was airlifted to a nearby hospital, along with several passengers from both vehicles. The other driver and a passenger died from their injuries.

The road was temporarily closed while police investigated but has since reopened. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
