Around 2:15 p.m., officers near 11th Avenue and Washington Street tried to conduct a traffic stop on a silver Honda Civic, but the driver did not pull over.

Police were eventually able to stop the car in the area of 5th Avenue and Jefferson Street, but the driver refused commands to get out.

Police said less-lethal tools were used to get the driver to comply with them.

The man was eventually arrested.

He was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation and will be booked on charges related to the incident once medically cleared.
