TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The Pima County Sheriff’s Department says a crash killed a man Friday afternoon, July 24.

The PCSD says the crash happened along East Benson Highway near South Hartford Stravenue.
27-year-old Eduardo Antonio Gil was determined to have been thrown from a four-door sedan.
Gil was taken to the hospital where he later died.
PCSD Traffic Unit detectives say findings indicate the driver veered off the roadway and overcorrected, which caused the vehicle to roll several times.

Investigators determined Gil was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision.
Speed and distracted driving appear to be contributing factors.
