TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Today is another First Alert Weather Day, with an Extreme Heat Warning in effect until 8 PM this evening. Dangerous heat will bring some of the warmest afternoon highs we’ve seen so far this year. Increasing moisture and daytime heating will help showers and thunderstorms develop this afternoon and evening. Winds will also pick up—breezy and gusty at times—which could lead to blowing dust in some areas and reduced visibility on roadways.

Shower and thunderstorm chances increase tomorrow and into the start of the workweek, along with slightly cooler temperatures. Heat may build back later in the week, with daily afternoon shower and thunderstorm chances driven by daytime heating. Stay weather-aware for dangerous heat, heavy rain, localized flash flooding, and blowing dust.
