Man dies after shooting at party in north Phoenix

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man is dead after being shot at a party in north Phoenix early Thursday morning.

Around 6 a.m., Phoenix police were called to a home on Cannon Street near 28th Street and Shea Boulevard, just north of the Phoenix Mountains Preserve.

Police said a man, later identified as 19-year-old Jervarious Tyler, was shot at least once and rushed to a hospital in extremely critical condition. He later died from his injuries.

Officers detained several people who were inside the house at the time of the shooting, but no arrests have been made. Police say the investigation remains “open and active.”
