It was the third straight day of monsoon, and there were sporadic and short power outages across southern Arizona.
The Tucson Fire Department said it responded to three calls where vehicles got stuck in flooded roadways.
“In most cases, drivers were able to safely get themselves out of their vehicles,” the TFD said. “At one location, Tucson Fire personnel assisted by helping one driver out of the water.”
The TFD said it wants to remind everyone to “Turn Around, Don’t Drown!,” and that it only takes a small amount of water to make driving dangerous.

“If you encounter a flooded roadway, find another route and never attempt to drive through it,” the TFD said.
One great thing about southern Arizona is that flooding doesn’t usually stick around all that long. If you give it a few minutes, most roads will become passable.
